The Standard Chartered Nairobi Marathon is an annual charity fundraising event that seeks to raise funds for SEEING IS BELIEVING, a Standard Chartered Bank initiative for eradicating avoidable blindness in children under the age of nine.
The Marathon has over the years become the greatest professional and social running event of the year bringing together runners, associate sponsors, supporters, corporates and the community to contribute towards ensuring the children gets life changing eye surgery. All proceeds from the marathon registration go towards supporting SEEING IS BELIEVING projects across Kenya. Over 600 patients have undergone cataract operations at the Kikuyu Eye Hospital.
